This fall, ACCA is launching two new HVAC leadership training programs, one for business owners and one for service and install managers. ACCA built both specifically for the HVACR industry, so the modules, case studies, language, and community all reflect the realities of running a trades business. Enrollment is open now, and both programs begin in Fall 2026.
If you want to learn more before you commit, ACCA is hosting two free informational sessions on Tuesday, July 28, at 8:30 AM ET and 1:30 PM ET. Each session covers both programs, so pick the time that fits your schedule.
Legacy Builders: leadership training for HVAC business owners
Legacy Builders is for owners ready to get out of the weeds. If you’re still approving every decision and solving every problem yourself, this program gives you a path from owner-operator to CEO, and eventually to an exit on your terms.
The program runs a full year across three segments: redefining your role as a leader, restructuring your HVAC business for growth, and building long-term value ahead of an eventual sale or succession. It includes:
- Three in-person, three-day leadership workshops
- Monthly virtual Legacy Labs between workshops
- Owner-to-owner mentorship from leaders who have already made this transition
- A moderated peer community that continues after the program ends
By the end, you’ll have a defined CEO role, a 90-day leadership transition plan, an organizational structure that supports growth beyond you, a business readiness assessment for exit planning, and a personal legacy roadmap.
Legacy Builders is designed for ACCA and PHCC members with companies in the roughly $1M–$15M range, though any owner ready to step out of daily operations can apply.
Reserve your spot by August 15.
Service Managers Leadership Lab: training for the hardest seat in the building
Most HVAC service managers were promoted because they were great in the field, then handed a team to lead without any training in how to do it. The Service Managers Leadership Lab was built to close that gap.
This seven-month leadership cohort covers the challenges service and install managers deal with every day: running productive meetings, handling difficult conversations, reading a P&L, managing scheduling and dispatch, and coaching technicians. The program includes:
- Live monthly virtual sessions, one leadership module at a time
- An in-person capstone with your cohort at the ACCA 2027 Conference
- A peer community of managers who understand the pressure of the role, during the program and after
Managers finish the program with communication frameworks they can use immediately, financial literacy built for HVACR, systems that keep the service department running without them in the room, and a network they can call on for years.
Reserve your spot by August 15.
Two HVACR leadership programs built to work together
Both programs kick off this fall, and owners can enroll a service or install manager in the Leadership Lab while going through Legacy Builders themselves. It’s easier to change how a company runs when the owner and the managers are learning the same material at the same time, and applying it to the same business.

Each session covers the curriculum for both programs, who they’re for, pricing by membership tier, and how to enroll. They’re free, with no obligation to register for either program.
Both programs use small, focused cohorts, so spots are limited. The registration deadline is August 15.
